Why Big Fr and Hungry F

Why Francium is the biggest element with the lowest IE and EN:
Francium is the biggest element with the lowest Ionization Energy and ElectroNegativity because it has many shells which are layered together loosely. The Valence e- are on the outermost shell so it can not hold on to its e- very tightly. It is the biggest because it has the most shells(7). Its nucleus is the farthest from its outermost shell is not strong enough to easily pull e- away.

Why Helium is the smallest element with the highest IE:
Helium is the smallest element because it has only one shell. It has the highest Ionization Energy because it is closest to its Valence e- and attracts them the most.

Why Noble Gases don't have EN values:
Noble Gases do not have Electro-Negativity values because they are unreactive. They have a full Valence Electron shell and cannot react for any more electrons and therefore have an undefined EN.

Why Fluorine has the highest EN:
Fluorine has the highest EN because it has two shells and seven Valence e-. It has high Ionization Energybecause its Electrons are really close to its Nucleus and it has a very small size and short distance between shells.

Phosphorus is element 15

Several names for Phosphorus include:

Greek-Φωσφόρος
Latin-Lucifer

Some pictures of Phosphorus can be seen below:

The nucleus of the most common Phosphorus isotope contains:

15 protons
16 neutrons

  • Common isotopes for Phosphorus are: 31P
  • Natural abundance percentage: 100%
  • Atomic mass: 30.9737620

Phosphorus has 3 electrons!!!! AND 3 electron shells!!!

Phosphorus has an atom radius of 0.00000000001 meters

IN IT'S PURE ELEMENT FORM PHOSPHORUS HAS A:
Boiling Point of: 277 C

Thermal Conductivity of: 0.236 W m-1 K-1
Solid Density of: 1823  kg m-3
Electrical Resistivity: about 10  10-8 Ω m; or mΩ cm

My Abundance Is:
Location ppb by weight ppb by atoms
Universe 7000 300
Sun 7000 300
Meteorite (carbonaceous) 1100000 700000
Crustal rocks 1000000 700000
Sea water 70 14
Stream 20 0.6
Human 11000000 2200000

MY STORY
Phosphorus was discovered in 1669 by Hennig Brand, who discovered it from urine. Each experiment he had 50-60 buckets to work with. By assuming that matter is composed of atoms and that all samples of any given compound consist of the same combination of these atoms he was able to explain some of Phosphorus's reactions. Dalton also noted that in series of compounds, the ratios of the masses of the second element that combine with a given weight of the first element can be reduced to small whole numbers (the law of multiple proportions). His theory got published by Thomas Thomson in the System of Chemistry in 1807 and in a paper about strontium oxalates published in the Philosophical Transactions. He also published his findings in his work, the New System of Chemical Philosophy.

Some of Phosphorus's uses are:

  • The manufacture of safety matches, pyrotechnics, incendiary shells, smoke bombs, tracer bullets, etc.
  • Fertilizers and Pesticides
  • The production of special glasses, such as those used for sodium lamps
  • Used to produce fine chinaware and to produce monocalcium phosphate which is used in baking powder
  • Is important in the production of steels, phosphor bronze, and many other products
The most common use for white phosphorus is in fireworks because of their luminescence.(SEE PIC.)

    Welcome to my life

Welcome to my blog. Those reading this blog will find the tales of my adventures in everyday life and may choose to either continue reading or click on another blog. I suggest those who are looking for something comical should leave. however if you are interested in hearing my life and harsh adventures then please continue.

I am a person who has been tossed into a world he cannot change. Things I love and things I want to change are quite different. In this post I will be talking about what I deal with and what I want to do about the world. My desires are to change this world where equality is more important than vanity, where smart and dumb don't exist. I am not dreaming of dictatorship( and if i was the only dictator qualified would be Justin Li) but i am rather attempting to better the world and set certain priorities straight.

I do not "dream" to accomplish things rather than, i invision and attempt to create, what i see fit. i am not a perfectionist nor am i a future terrorist, but rather a believer in that the world can change if people care enough to change it.

~If you want something done then do it yourself~  -I am not sure who said it-

~There is no failure without attempt~   -My own personal quote-
